High-quality authentic fish sauce must be reddish-brown in colour, clear with no sediments, and have natural smell and taste of fish sauce. All Squid Brand products have no preservatives because salt can naturally preserve the fish sauce.
All Squid Brand products are labeled with a best-before date on the label, that is 12-24 months, depending on its container. However, it is still safe to consume after its best-before date, it is just the color and aroma that have been changed, not the quality.
Squid Brand products only contain fish (anchovy), sea salt and sugar. Our production line and our products do not contain milk, eggs, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, or soybeans.
Yes. Squid Brand Fish Sauce contains a high protein content which can undergo a natural process called “Oxidation Reaction” and “Maillard Reaction when exposed to Oxygen, light, and changes in temperature.
Yes, it is gluten free. Our fish sauce contains no wheat or wheat by-products, and our factory is also a gluten-free facility.
No. We do not put any MSG or any flavour enhancers (e.g., hydrolyzed vegetable proteins etc.) in our fish sauce.
Squid Brand fish sauce contains high protein content which can undergo a natural process called “protein precipitation” when exposed to changes in temperature. These insoluble precipitated proteins may sometimes attract to form clouds of protein. These clouds do not affect the safely or quality of the fish sauce. However, if you are dissatisfied our products, please contact us at 662-234-3402, we are happy to replace your purchase.
As we use salt as natural preservative, temperature drops may naturally cause crystallization of sea salt. This natural process does not affect quality of the product.
